物や人が「迷う」と、道に迷ったり、考えや行動が間違った方向に向かったりする状態を指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「go astray」は「迷う、道を外れる」、「lead astray」は「（人を）悪い方向に導く」の意味で使われます。日常会話ではあまり使われないやや堅い表現です。
