‘Astonished’ ‘surprised’ سے زیادہ شدت اور سنجیدگی کا اظہار کرتا ہے۔ عام collocations میں ‘astonished by/at’ اور ‘I was astonished to see/hear...’ شامل ہیں۔ عام طور پر شدید حیرت کے مواقع پر استعمال ہوتا ہے۔
