전쟁에서 사용되는 대형 대포나 로켓 발사기 등 원거리 목표를 공격하는 무기.

주로 군사나 역사적 맥락에서 사용된다. 'artillery fire', 'artillery unit'와 같은 표현은 공식적이고 전문적인 상황에서 쓴다. 소총, 권총 등의 소형 무기는 포함되지 않는다.

The soldiers prepared the artillery for battle.
