魚や水生植物を飼育するためのガラス製などの容器。また、多くの水生生物を見学できる公共の施設も指します。

「水族館」は自宅の小型のものから公共の大型施設まで指します。「set up an aquarium」「clean the aquarium」「visit the aquarium」のような使い方に注意。「テラリウム」や「金魚鉢」とは区別してください。
