Definition

규칙, 생각, 상황이 누구나 무엇에 해당될 때, 또는 누군가가 공식적으로 무언가(일자리 등)에 지원할 때 사용됨('apply'의 3인칭 단수형).

주로 공식적이거나 문어체 상황에서 사용. 자주 쓰는 표현: 'applies to you', 'applies for a job'. 'applies to'(해당된다)와 'applies for'(지원한다)를 혼동하지 마세요. 오직 he/she/it 주어일 때 씀.

This rule applies to everyone.

이 규칙은 모두에게 **적용된다**.
