Definition

『申請』は仕事や学校などに公式に申し込むことを指します。『アプリケーション』はスマホやパソコンのプログラム（アプリ）も意味します。

「job applications」は就職の申し込み書を指します。「applications（アプリ）」はカジュアルに「アプリ」とも呼ばれます。「appliances（家電）」と混同しないようにしましょう。
