Definition

人や物が外からどう見えるかを表します。また、どこかに現れることや登場する意味もあります。

'Physical appearance', 'public appearance'のようにフォーマルな文脈で使われます。外見の場合は「見た目」、登場の場合は「出現」「登場」を使います。日常会話では「look」の方が自然な場合もあります。

Her appearance changed after the haircut.

彼女の**見た目**は髪を切ったあと変わった。
