用来指另一位或另一件同类型的已提及或已知的人或物。

在正式和非正式英语中都很常用。通常与可数名词连用（another cup，another day）。可以表示“再一个”或“不同于之前的那个”。不可与不可数名词连用（此时用more）。

Can I have another apple, please?
