足首は、足と足の間にある関節で、足を動かしたり体を支えたりします。

足首は数えられる体の部分（例：私の足首、両足首）として使います。「足首をひねった」「足首の痛み」「足首のけが」などの表現がよく使われます。手首（wrist）とは間違えないようにしましょう。
