あなたの家族で昔に生きていた人たちのこと。ひいおじいさんや、それより前の世代の人たちを指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に正式な場や歴史、家系の話で使われます。人間に対して使い、動物には使いません。'descendant'（子孫）と混同しないよう注意しましょう。
