雖然儘管

這是一個連詞，用來引出一個與句子另一部分形成對比或讓結果顯得出人意料的事實。意思接近「儘管」或「雖然」.

它在口語和書面語中都很常見，比「though」稍微正式一些，而「though」更常出現在句末。不要和「but」一起重複表示轉折：說 “Although it was late, we stayed”，不要說 “Although it was late, but we stayed”.

Although it was raining, we went outside.
