誰かが何かをすること、または何かが起こるのを許すこと。

'Allowing'は主にフォーマルまたは中立的な文脈で許可を与えるときに使います。「allowing access」「allowing time for」のような表現が一般的で、'letting'よりも堅い表現です。通常、名詞や動詞フレーズが後に続きます。
