生きている活気がある

Definition

死んでいない、生命があることを表します。また、活気がある場合にも使われます。

人や動物、植物の生命の有無を表す時や、場所や状況の活気にも使います。'is alive' のように動詞の後で使い、『an alive man』とは言わず『a living man』と言います。

My grandmother is still alive.

私の祖母はまだ**生きている**。

The plant is alive because I watered it.

水をあげたので、その植物は**生きている**。
