통로

Definition

좌석, 선반 등 줄 사이에 있는 길고 좁은 통로를 말합니다. 슈퍼마켓, 비행기, 극장, 교회 등에 있습니다.

복수형으로 사용합니다. 하나는 ‘an aisle’입니다. ‘grocery aisles’, ‘walk down the aisle’ 등 표현 있음. 복도(‘corridor’, ‘hall’)에는 사용하지 않음.

The supermarket has wide aisles for shopping carts.

슈퍼마켓에는 쇼핑카트를 위한 넓은 **통로**가 있습니다.

Passengers walked down the aisles of the airplane.
