通路

Definition

座席や棚の列の間などにある細長い通路のことです。スーパー、飛行機、劇場、教会などに見られます。

複数形で使います。一つの場合は「通路」となります。「grocery aisles」はスーパーの通路、「walk down the aisle」は結婚式で使われる表現です。廊下は「廊下」と呼びます。

The supermarket has wide aisles for shopping carts.

スーパーには買い物カート用の広い**通路**があります。
