Definition

飛行場とは、航空機が離着陸や整備のできる場所で、通常は商業空港より小さく、軍用や個人用として使われることが多いです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「airfield」は「airport」より小規模で、軍用や個人用として使われることが多いです。「military airfield」や「private airfield」といった表現がよくあります。大型の空港には使いません。
