Tener suficiente dinero, tiempo u otros recursos para algo sin demasiada dificultad. Se usa sobre todo para expresar que alguien puede pagar o permitirse algo.

Suele ir seguido de un sustantivo o de infinitivo: 'afford a car', 'afford to buy a car'. Es muy frecuente en negativo y en preguntas: 'can't afford', 'can we afford to...?'.
