提督やアドミラルは、海軍で最上級に近い地位の軍人です。また、その人への敬称としても使われます。

軍事や歴史の話題で主に使われます。『Admiral + 名前』や『海軍提督』、『副提督』（rear admiral）といった形でも出てきます。陸軍の階級（例：general）と混同しないようにしましょう。
