किसी चीज़ (जैसे सड़क, कमरा, नदी) के एक किनारे से दूसरे किनारे की ओर जाने या वहाँ पहुँचने के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

बहुत सामान्य preposition/adverb है। 'across' में एक तरफ़ से दूसरी तरफ़ जाना (जैसे 'walk across') या सामने (जैसे 'across the street') और रूपक रूप ('across cultures') में भी प्रयोग होता है। 'through' (भीतर से) और 'over' (ऊपर से) से अलग इस्तेमाल करें।
