何かが真実・実在すると認めること。または相手に気づいたり、受け取ったことを知らせる意味もある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

フォーマルな場面や文章でよく使われる。'acknowledge a problem'や'receipt'のような使い方が多い。単なる「気づく」より強いが、「admit」ほど消極的な意味はない。
