エースとは、トランプで1の記号がついたカード、または何かにとても優れた人を指します。

カードやスポーツ、日常会話でよく使われます。人物へはカジュアルで褒め言葉として使います（例：数学のエース）。テニスではサーブ、受け手が触れないことが『エース』です。
