अधिकतर औपचारिक या तटस्थ संदर्भ में प्रयोग होता है। 'sense of accomplishment' जैसी अभिव्यक्तियां आम हैं। बड़े लक्ष्य या विशेष प्रयास से जुड़ी उपलब्धियों के लिए, रोज़मर्रा कार्यों के लिए नहीं। 'Achievement' और 'accomplishment' बहुत मिलते-जुलते हैं।
