發出尖銳、短促的叫聲，通常因為疼痛、害怕或驚訝；多用於狗等動物，也可描述人突如其來的尖叫。

常用於口語，多形容動物（尤其是狗）的短促尖叫。偶爾形容人類，但須表達聲音突然且高亢。不要用於穩定或重複的聲音。
