主に武器や道具などを手に持ち、使うこと。また、権力や影響力を持ち、それを行使することも指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「剣」「権力」「影響力」などと一緒によく使われる。日常的な物に対して普通は使わず、権威や支配を強調したい時に使う。
