予想できなかったことや驚くべき出来事の後に使われる表現で、結果を想像するのが難しかったことを表す。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
驚きや信じられない気持ちを表す時に使う。「who would have thought」と同様で、物語、ニュース、回想などでよく見られる。明らかに予測できる事柄には使わない。
