여러 가지 상황이나 이유를 설명하며, 왜 그런 일이 생겼는지 말할 때 문장 앞에 씀.

주로 구어체에서 문장 맨 앞에 놓여 여러 이유나 상황을 나열할 때 쓴다. 의문문이 아닌 설명문에서 사용한다.

What with the rain and traffic, I was late to work.
