যাঁরা বিভিন্ন স্থানে যান, সাধারণত পায়ে হেঁটে, তাদের 'পর্যটক' বা 'পথিক' বলা হয়। এই শব্দটি সাহিত্য বা কবিতায় বেশি ব্যবহার হয়।

‘পর্যটক’ ও ‘পথিক’ কবিতা বা গল্পে বেশি শোনা যায়, দৈনন্দিন কথায় কম ব্যবহৃত হয়। শুধুমাত্র পায়ে হেঁটে ভ্রমণ করছে এমন বোঝানো হয়।
