Definition

海上竜巻は、水面上で発生する、空気と水滴でできた渦巻き状の現象です。建物の屋根から雨水を流すための雨どいを指すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

気象用語では海や湖の回転する現象が最も一般的な使い方ですが、建築では「雨どい」とも表現されます。米英で建物用語としてはあまり一般的ではありません。
