Definition

জাহাজ, নৌকা বা অন্য কিছুর পাশে পানির যে স্তর পৌঁছায়, তাকে জলরেখা বলে। জলরেখা পাশে পানি কতটা উঠেছে, তা বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

সাধারণত নৌযান সংক্রান্ত প্রসঙ্গে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'Below the waterline' মানে পানির নিচে, এবং 'above the waterline' মানে পানির ওপরে। গোপন সমস্যা বোঝাতেও রূপক অর্থে ব্যবহার হয়।
