Definition

在选举或集体决定中，通过表达自己的选择来选人、方案或意见。作名词时，也可以指投票这一行为或投出的选择。

既可作动词，也可作名词：常见搭配有 'vote for'（投票支持）、'vote against'（投票反对）、'cast a vote'（投票）。日常英语里，它也常用于小组内部的小决定，不只用于政治选举。不要和 'elect' 混淆：人们先 'vote'，胜出者才是 'elected'。
