উজির একজন উচ্চপদস্থ রাজনৈতিক উপদেষ্টা বা মন্ত্রী, বিশেষত ঐতিহাসিক ইসলামি দেশের মধ্যে যেমন মিশর বা অটোমান সাম্রাজ্যে।

'উজির' শব্দটি ইতিহাস বা কল্পকাহিনিতে বেশি দেখা যায়, আধুনিক রাজনীতিতে সচরাচর ব্যবহৃত হয় না। 'চেস' খেলায় কখনও কখনও রাজার পাশে থাকা শক্তিশালী ঘুটিকে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
