자신의 잘못이나 나쁜 행동에 대해 후회하거나 반성하지 않고, 잘못을 인정하지 않는 상태를 말함.

공식적/격식 있는 상황에서 많이 쓰이며, 잘못된 행동을 반복하면서도 전혀 후회하지 않는 사람을 묘사할 때 사용함. 'repentant', 'remorseful'의 반대.
