Definition

আন্ডারসেক্রেটারি বা উপ-সচিব হচ্ছে এমন একজন সরকারি কর্মকর্তা যিনি কোনো বিভাগের সচিবের পরের পদে থাকেন এবং সাধারণত নির্দিষ্ট কিছু কাজ বা দায়িত্ব পরিচালনা করেন।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'আন্ডারসেক্রেটারি' বা 'উপ-সচিব' সাধারণত সরকার বা বড় সংগঠনগুলোর পদবিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'Undersecretary for Health' এর মতো সংযোগে সচরাচর দেখা যায়। এ পদটি 'deputy secretary' (উপ-সচিব) থেকে ভিন্ন হতে পারে।
