Definition

'Underbelly' বলতে সাধারণত কোনো প্রাণীর তলপেট বোঝানো হয়, কিন্তু বেশি ব্যবহার হয় গোপন, দুর্বল বা সন্দেহজনক কোনো দিক বোঝাতে, যেমন কোনো শহরের অপরাধী দিক।

'Underbelly' সাধারণত সাংবাদিকতা বা সাহিত্যিক আলোচনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়, যখন কোনো কিছুর গোপন বা নেতিবাচক দিক তুলে ধরা হয়। 'the dark underbelly' বা 'expose the underbelly' এর মতো বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
