Definition
Desapertar ou abrir algo que está muito apertado, especialmente um punho, dentes ou maxilar. Geralmente usado quando alguém deixa de apertar devido a tensão ou stress.

Principalmente usado em contextos de tensão física ou emocional (‘unclench your fists’ = relaxar os punhos). Não se aplica para abrir objetos normais.
