何かに気づかない、または知らないこと。起こっていることを自覚していない状態。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

事実や危険、感情などに気づいていない人に使われることが多いです。よく 'unaware of'（〜に気づいていない）と使います。'don't know' より少しフォーマルで中立的な表現です。
