Definition

腫瘍とは、体内で細胞が異常または制御されずに増殖することでできるしこりや塊です。良性（がんではない）と悪性（がん）の腫瘍があります。

主に医療や科学の場面で使われます。「良性腫瘍」「悪性腫瘍」「脳腫瘍」などの組み合わせが一般的です。日常会話ではやや堅い表現です。
