कछुए (स्थलीय) ऐसे सरीसृप हैं जो ज़मीन पर रहते हैं, जिनका खोल कड़ा होता है और चलने में धीमे होते हैं। ये पानी में रहने वाले कछुओं से अलग होते हैं।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

"कछुए (स्थलीय)" केवल जमीन पर रहने वाले जाते हैं, पानी के नहीं। हिंदी में कभी-कभी 'कछुआ' दोनों के लिए ही बोल देते हैं, पर 'स्थलीय कछुआ' या 'धरती का कछुआ' कह सकते हैं।
