Definition

ティンパニは、オーケストラで使われる大きなボウル型の太鼓で、深く力強い音を出し、音程を調節できます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「ティンパニ」は常に複数形で使われます。英語では「kettledrums」とも呼ばれます。主にオーケストラで使われ、単数形（timpano）はほとんど使いません。
