Hacer algo más apretado, seguro o estricto; puede referirse a apretar físicamente algo o hacer que reglas o procesos sean más estrictos o eficaces.

Expresión informal usada tanto en sentido físico como figurado. Se emplea mucho para instrucciones ('tighten up the screws'), mejoras organizacionales ('tighten up the process') o normas ('tighten up the rules'). No confundir con 'tighten', que solo es físico.
