사람들을 미리 계획하지 않고 어떤 상황에 몰아넣어 서로 상호작용하게 하는 것.

Usage Notes (Korean)

주로 구어체이며 수동형('people were thrown together')으로 자주 씀. 일, 여행, 모임 등에서 모르는 사람들이 어쩔 수 없이 함께 있을 때 의미. 의도하지 않은 만남. 'bring people together'(의도된 만남)와 다름.
