物事が密集していたり、分厚く重なり合っている状態を表す時に使う言葉です。多くの場合、何かがびっしり覆われている様子などに使われます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「thickly」は「thickly covered」「spread thickly」など、動詞や過去分詞の前でよく使われます。名詞を直接修飾しないので注意してください（その際は“thick”を使います）。
