Definition

누군가의 잘못을 남에게(주로 윗사람이나 권위자에게) 알려서 곤란하게 만들려는 행동을 의미한다. 주로 아이들 사이에서 쓰이지만 어른에게도 쓸 수 있다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

비공식적이고 부정적인 느낌이 있다. 주로 어린이들 사이에서 사용되며, '고자질하다'는 남의 비밀이나 잘못을 일부러 알리는 행위를 뜻한다.
