Convencer alguém a concordar ou mudar de opinião conversando e apresentando razões; significa persuadir pelo diálogo, não pela força.

Expressão informal, comum no inglês britânico. Normalmente usada com pronomes: 'talk him round'. Tem sentido de convencer sem impor. No inglês americano, é mais comum 'talk into' ou 'persuade'.
