Definition

誰かの申し出や招待、提案を受け入れること。

主に口語的な表現で、「take you up on your offer / invitation」のように使われる。物理的に何かを拾う意味ではない。

I'll take you up on your offer to help me move this weekend.

今週末の引っ越しの手伝いの申し出を**受けさせてもらう**よ。

She decided to take him up on his lunch invitation.
