Apagar un aparato o máquina usando un interruptor. También puede significar dejar de prestar atención o relajarse mentalmente.

Uso informal, se emplea con aparatos eléctricos ('switch off the TV'). En sentido figurado, se usa cuando uno quiere relajarse o dejar de pensar en algo. Similar a 'turn off', pero 'switch off' es un poco más británico.
