シュルレアリストは、夢のような奇妙なイメージやアイデアを使って創造性を表現するシュルレアリスム運動に属する芸術家や作家です。

「シュルレアリスト」は主に20世紀初頭のシュルレアリスム運動の作家や画家に使います（日常の奇妙さには用いません）。有名なダリやブルトンなどを指すことが多いです。
