কাউকে বা কিছুকে সাহায্য করা, উৎসাহ দেওয়া, অথবা শারীরিকভাবে বা মানসিকভাবে ধরে রাখা বা টিকিয়ে রাখা। বস্তুগত, মানসিক, আর্থিক, কিংবা প্রযুক্তিগত বিভিন্ন পরিস্থিতিতে ব্যবহার হয়।

ক্রিয়াপদ হিসেবে এবং বহুবচন বিশেষ্য হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'emotional support', 'financial support', 'physical support', 'technical support' ইত্যাদি আলাদাভাবে বোঝাতে বিভিন্ন শব্দ ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
