建物や船などで、基礎や土台の上にある部分を指します。社会学では、経済的な基盤の上に成り立つ制度や文化を示すこともあります。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
建築や工学、社会学の専門用語として使われます。日常会話ではあまり使いません。「superstructure of a bridge」や「社会のsuperstructure」などで使われます。
