Definition

특정한 종류의 물질 또는 재료를 뜻한다. 또한 어떤 것의 본질이나 중요한 의미를 나타내기도 한다.

과학, 공식 문서에서 물질을 표현할 때 자주 사용함. 추상적 의미로는 'with substance'(의미 있는), 'lack substance'(얕은) 등으로도 쓸 수 있음.

Water is a substance that has no color.

물은 색이 없는 **물질**이다.

Police found a strange substance in the bag.
